Particles and magnetite in heating systems

Over time particles and rust increase in the heating systems. This happens because the air can leak into the system causing the oxygen to react with the pipes and create rust that then mixes and reacts with the water creating what is called heating sludge or magnetite. Usually the older the pipes are, the more likely it is that there will be higher quantities of sludge and particles in the system.

Magnetite can cause several problems such as:

  • Damage to pumps, valves and boilers
  • Reduction of heating efficiency
  • Blockage of pipes

Our bag filter housing takes away both magnetic and non magnetic impurities from the piping system and heating elements, increasing the heat transfer and allowing a better operation of the different system elements.

This solution can be applied independently of the heating source for the building, and can be combined with other maintenance techniques.
