Skydd av radonavskiljare

Hjoggböleforsens ekonomiska VA-förening fick ett krav från Skellefteå kommun om att sänka radonhalten i sitt vatten.

When installing the radon separator, it was discovered that some sand and gravel came up together with water and settled to the bottom of the radon separator. To avoid clogging, we installed a prime-phin as a pre-filter to separate the sand particles with strong results: after some operating time, the radon separator was inspected and no sand nor other particles were observed.

In this application, the installation of a pre-filtering stage has extended the life of the entire plant and reduced the need for maintenance.
